SeGaBu:n pilottikurssit

SeGaBu-hankkeessa on tuotettu uutta ja innovatiivista hyötypelialan koulutusta verkko-opintoina. SeGaBu-hanke on tarjonnut ainutkertaisen tilaisuuden kenelle tahansa osallistua hyötypeliaiheisille verkkokursseille. Itseopiskeluun ja yhdessä oppimiseen perustuvia maksuttomia kursseja on ollut reilusti tarjolla hankkeen aikana vuosina 2016-2018. Suurin osa kursseista on englanninkielisiä, mutta Hyötypelien perusteet tarjottiin myös suomeksi.

The SeGaBu project has created new and innovative online courses in the field of serious games during 2016-2018. During the project anyone had an opportunity to take part in several free pilot courses.  Most of them were implemented in English, but the course Basics of serious games had its counterpart also in Finnish.  

Tavoitteet: Opiskelija tietää, mitä hyötypelit ovat ja ymmärtää hyötypelien merkityksen omalla alallaan. Opiskelija tuntee pelien kehitysprosessin ja osaa toimia tuotteen omistajan roolissa hyötypelin kehitysprojektissa. Opiskelija ymmärtää teknologianäkökulman ja tietää erilaisia innovointi- ja ideointimenetelmiä sekä osaa hyödyntää valitsemaansa menetelmää peli-ideoinnissa. Opiskelija osaa selvittää omaan peli-ideaansa liittyvää tutkimus- ja markkinatietoa.

  1. Mitä pelit ovat? Miksi pelata?
  2. Viihdepelit, pelillisyys, hyötypelit
  3. Teknologian hyödyntäminen
  4. Pelityypit ja -genret sekä pelien arviointi
  5. Pelinkehitysprosessi
  6. Pelisuunnittelu ja -mekaniikat
  7. Tuotteen omistajana toimiminen / tilaajan rooli

Osio oman kiinnostuksen mukaisesta aihealueesta esim. terveyspelit, liikuntapelit, simulaattorit, oppimispelit:

  1. Pelien tavoitteet (motivointi, asenteet)
  2. Hyötypelityypit
  3. Peli-ideointi
  4. Esiselvitystyö

Suoritustapa: Itseopiskelu sekä vertaisoppiminen opiskelijatovereiden kanssa. Kurssilla ei ole aktiivista opettajaa eikä tutoria.  

Ajankohta: Kurssin voi suorittaa omaan tahtiin

Todistus:   Opintojakson hyväksytysti suorittaneet saavat pyytämällä osallistumistodistuksen, jonka antaa Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulu.

Learn a variety of innovation methods for developing your game ideas. Learn to understand the technological perspective behind gamified solutions.

Description: Design your own serious game. Get familiar with the game design process and the work of a game designer. Learn how the game design documents are created and used to support the game development. Understand the concept of gamification and learn the steps to design gamification for a specific purpose.

Description: This game testing course concentrates on testing methods used for finding flaws in your game products. It introduces most common testing methods, but mostly concentrates on those methods used in this game testing. This course is very hands-on, so to pass it you need to perform 8 different game testing sessions.
