Purpose of processing personal data
Registry information is used in TAMK's open Moodle-based DIGMA learning environment. Personal information is used to manage the customer relationship: to identify users (authentication) and to authenticate users' access rights (authorization). The information
can also be used to detect and protect against abuse.
Information content of the register
The user can register in the system either with the username of their own university (HAKA login) or with the ID registered by them. Other login methods can also be enabled as needed.
For users registered directly in the environment, their first
name, last name, username, e-mail address, place and country of residence are stored. Depending on the login method, password-related information can also be stored in the system. Those who log in with HAKA automatically save their user ID (EPPN),
name information, e-mail address, home organization, and home organization type.
If desired, the user can store other contact information in the system (telephone number, address, website address, identifiers of various messaging services).
While
studying or teaching in the environment, the user may store other information related to himself in the system and disclose such information to other users. The controller is not responsible for any personal data related to the user, which the user
voluntarily makes available to other persons.
Regular sources of information
Information provided by the customer with his consent. For HAKA login users, information that comes through the HAKA ID management federation from student information systems of Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences.
Regular disclosures
The information is used only for the activities of TAMK and its projects and customers, and is not disclosed to other parties.
Retention period of personal data
Personal data is stored in the service for 12 months after the user's last login, after which the user's data is deleted.
Principles of personal data protection
The data is stored in the information system. The data is technically protected so that only system administrators have access to it. The computer systems used for storage are subject to continuous maintenance to ensure their security. Servers and network
devices are located in controlled premises. When transferred over the Internet, the data is encrypted with SSL technology.
Right to inspect registration
Everyone has the right to know what information about himself or herself is stored in this system. After logging in, the users can check their own information on their personal profile page. The users can also request information about themselves in hard
copy.
Correction and deletion of data
The users can correct their own data after logging in on their personal profile page. The information of the user logged in with HAKA ID comes from their own home organization, so change requests must be addressed there.
User data can also be deleted
free of charge at the request of the user. The request must be accompanied with sufficient information to verify the user's identity by comparing it with the information in the register.
Right of prohibition
Personal data will not be used for purposes for which the user's right to prohibit is justified.
